The benefit of "member" status in the AOGEA writ large is voting privileges. However, initially, this distinction is not an issue in the AOGEA-WMA. Everyone who joins the AOGEA and the AOGEA-WMA will initially be able to vote in the AOGEA-WMA. Whoever joins AOGEA will receive free mentoring of one hour regarding his/her professional EA goal(s), be able to attend AOGEA-WMA meetings on a routine basis and at a discount (anyone can come one time without having joined to try out the Chapter experience in person). In addition, there will be special opportunities to collaborate on EA articles and briefings for publication. Finally, selective material from The Open Group archives will be made available to everyone in the Chapter.
